FarmVille Animal Guide; Strategy and Tips

In addition to planting crops and trees, farmers in FarmVille have the option to raise animals. Each animal produces something you can collect and sell from them. Animals do not need to be fed and do not disappear after you harvest from them.

Another thing to note is that some animals (read: cows and horses) take up a lot more space than other animals. In each square of land (a square is the size of land it takes to plant a crop) there are 16 smaller squares (4x4) in which you can place multiple smaller objects like animals and trees. Horses and Cows take 4 squares total (2x2) while all the other animals only take up 1 small square (1x1). As a result, you can have 4 rabbits, ducks, goats, or sheep in the same space that 1 cow or horse would fill up.

In the following list, you will find the animal, its product, how much its product sells for, its size, and its profitability (calculated by (Coins / Hours) / Size), or coins per hour per square). I know some people don't care about math how much money each animal is worth, but on my farm, you have to earn your keep. I'm a hard but fair master.

With that said, here are the different animals, how long they take to produce, how much their product is worth, how much you can sell the animal for, and how you can get one:

Cow:

Produce milk once per day (23 hours)
Milk sells for 6 coins
Size: 2x2 small squares (4 total)
Profitability: .065 coins per square per hour
Cow sale price: Permanently sell a cow for 15 coins
How to get: purchase for 300 coins in the marketplace

Chicken:

Produce eggs once per day (23 hours)
Eggs sell for 8 coins
Size: 1 small square
Profitability: .348 coins per square per hour
Chicken sale price: Permanently sell a chicken for 20 coins
How to get: Purchase for 400 coins in the marketplace

Sheep:

Produces wool once every 3 days (69 hours)
Wool sells for 28 coins
Size: 1 small square
Profitability: .406 coins per square per hour
Sheep sale price: Permanently sell a chicken for 35 coins
How to get: Purchase for 700 coins in the marketplace

Pig:

Produces truffles every 2 days (46 hours)
Truffles sell for 30 coins
Size: 1 small square
Profitability: .65 coins per hour
Pig sale price: Permanently sell a pig for 50 coins

Rabbit:

Produces Angora Wool every 4 days (92 hours)
Angora wool sells for 60 coins
Size: 1 small square
Profitability: .65 coins per square per hour
Rabbit sale price: Permanently sell a rabbit for 60 coins
How to get: Gift only (from friends)

Duck:

Produces down feathers every 2 days (46 hours)
Down feathers sell for 45 coins
Size: 1 small square
Profitability: .98 coins per square per hour
Duck sale price: Permanently sell a duck for 75 coins
How to get: Gift only (from friends)

Goat:

Produce milk every 2 days (46 hours)
Goat milk sells for 54 coins
Size: 1 small square
Profitability: 1.17 coins per square per hour
Goat sale price: Permanently sell a goat for 90 coins
How to get: Gift only (from friends)

Horse:

Produce horse hair every 3 days (69 hours)
Horse hair sells for 84 coins
Size: 1 small square
Profitability: .304 coins per square per hour
Horse sale price: Permanently sell a horse for 105 coins
How to get: Gift only (from friends)

So, as you can see, some animals are a lot better than others. Horses and cows are pretty useless unless you are trying to make your farm look cool. Otherwise, they are too big and take up way too much space to be useful.

Also, note that the "coins per square per hour" is referring to small squares. You can fit 16 small squares into 1 plot of land (that could grow 1 crop at a time). In one big square, you could fit 16 goats, which would produce a combined 18.72 coins per hour. This is double what the best producing crop is valued at.

Two things before you run off and replace all your crops with goats:

1. The Olive Tree produces coins at 1.21 coins per hour, which is slightly better than the goat. Additionally, the olive tree only needs to be harvested once every 4 days.

2. Animals offer no experience points. When you buy an animal (and all the bought animals do not produce very much $$), you get experience points for planting it. However, after the initial placing, there is no experience points reward for raising animals (aside from working on the ribbons). As a result, you will still need to plant crops in order to level up.

Note: This list does not include any of the special and/or limited edition animals.

Conclusion

Goats and ducks are the only two animals that will produce a consistent, noticeable profit for your farm. Other than that, animals currently are only useful for making your farm look good. I will be posting a tree guide tomorrow and a final comparison (trees versus animals) shortly, so keep an eye on the FarmVille Strategy home page for updates! Selengkapnya...

FarmVille Strategy and Tips - Buying Experience Points

Leveling up by gathering experience points in FarmVille is a great way to access the best crops. Here is a simple tip you can use to literally trade your coins for experience points:

1. Plow a field (or several) at an unoccupied square. (+1 xp, -15 coins)
2. Plant Soybeans at each field you just plowed. (+2 xp, -15 coins).
3. Demolish the field you just planted soybeans at.
4. Repeat the process as much as you wish.

In FarmVille, you get experience points as soon as you plant the crop rather than having to wait for it to harvest. So for 30 coins, you can gain +3 experience per square. The only downside to this method is that it is boring and it costs you money. However, this strategy really shines when you are just a couple experience points away from the next level and really want access to a better crop!

As you get more wealth in the game, you can spend your coins for experience points in even bigger quantities which makes it a lot less tedious. Here's how:

When you buy and subsequently build a new building, you get experience points. Some of the very expensive buildings can supply a lot of experience points. If you want to spend some real money, you can also buy buildings with farm cash which supply a LOT of experience points. The manor for example costs $56 cash but gives you 1,000 experience points. farm file power leveling strategy guide

Here is a step-by-step strategy guide for leveling up as fast as possible in FarmVille. Rapid leveling is very useful because it will give you best crops, free gifts, other items, and give you the coins you need to purchase them. With that said, on with the guide:

Step 1: Install the FarmVille application.

Easy enough.

Step 2: Start working on ribbons.

Yes, you will be working on ribbons before even planting a crop. The first ribbon you should focus on is Local Celebrity. Go out and proceed to add 50 friends to your farm (as your first step). To get more friends, search Facebook for "add me" groups. There are a lot of groups out there with hundreds of thousands of farmers all looking for more people to add as neighbors.

Hand-in-hand with the Local Celebrity ribbon is the Gifted, not Spoiled! ribbon. Accept 21 free gifts and keep them in your box. If you have a lot of friends on Facebook you probably already have a lot of these free gift requests. Accept one of each type of gift, do not place it on your farm, and you will end up with a lot of free XP and coins.

Step 3: As soon as you get 15,000 coins from ribbons (as soon as you hit the blue ribbon on either listed above), expand your farm one time and plant a field of strawberries.

Expanding your farm from 12x12 to 14x14 costs 10,000 coins. Plowing and planting a field of strawberries costs 4900 coins. Berries are the best for early level powerleveling so stick to those for now.

Step 4: Start working on more easy ribbons.

Some ribbons will earn themselves, like the high roller:

You will get this one as soon as you make your first harvest.

But, in the mean time, some more easy ribbons you should do are the Noah's Ark and Tree Hugger. For the Noah's Ark achievement, just get 1 of each standard eight animals, harvest from them, and you'll get all the way up through the blue ribbon. The same thing goes for the Green Thumb ribbon - save a corner of your farm and 1 new crop there (only need to harvest 1 crop 1 time to count for the achievement).

Step 5: Harvest and Re-plant Strawberries.

Do this until you hit level 8.

Step 6: At level 8, start planting Raspberries.

Raspberries give a little less XP than Strawberries (while it calculates out to the same just considering growing time, it takes your farmer time to re-plant). Raspberries can be a pain to farm since you have to harvest, plow, and seed every 2 hours. I recommend GridClicker to help ease the pain.

Step 7: Once you get 34,000 coins, both from ribbons and raspberries, expand your farm to 16x16.

A 16x16 expansion costs 25,000 and to plow all 256 squares with raspberries, it will cost 8960 coins (256 squares * (15 coins for plowing + 20 coins for raspberry seeds).

Step 8: Keep planting and harvesting raspberries.

Do this every 2 hours. Raspberries are better than strawberries for powerleveling because they pay better. We need to expand to 20x20 as soon as possible.

Step 9: When you go to bed at night, plant an 8 hour crop.

Don't waste your field time - an 8 hour crop at night is good for making cash. Pumpkins are a good low-level crop for farming at night - a 16x16 field of pumpkins will produce a 5,888 coin net profit.

Once you get high enough level (and have enough coins), switch to tomatoes, and finally sugar cane.

Step 10: At level 17, switch over to Blueberries.

Blueberries only have to be harvested every 4 hours and pay off even better than raspberries. The only downside is the cost - a 16x16 field will cost 16,640 coins to fully plant.

Step 11: Once you have 71,060 coins, expand your farm to 18x18.

Keep planting blueberries until you get 71,060 coins. Once you have that many coins, expand your farm to 18x18. The 18x18 expansion costs 50,000 coins and has 324 farmable slots. To seed a field that size with blueberries would cost 21,060 coins.

Note: You might get enough money for the 18x18 expansion before you unlock blueberries, depending on how many ribbons you have completed and how diligent you have been about harvesting. If this is the case, buy the 18x18 expansion before you switch to blueberries.

Step 12: Make sure you are planting tomatoes at night (if you can afford it).

Planting an 18x18 field with tomatoes costs 37,260 coins, but pays off very well.

Step 13: Once you have 101,000 coins, purchase the 20x20 expansion.

The 20x20 expansion costs 75,000 coins and planting that full of blueberries costs 26,000 coins.

Step 14: Once you have made it to the 20x20 farm, you should be at least level 20.

Keep planting blueberries by day and tomatoes by night. This will get you to level 25 within a few days.

Step 15: The end! At this point, you have several options:

First off, you should buy 30 rest tents with your money. This will give you a lot of bonus experience points for the Architect ribbon.

Then, consider employing the soybean strategy to use up your spare coins. However, you would be hard pressed to find something less exciting than planting over and over again.

If you are that serious about getting your levels, feel free to use your spare coins on this. Each soybean costs 30 coins total (15 coins for soybeans, 15 for plowing) and pays 3 experience points. This is 10 coins per experience point - you can convert 100,000 coins into 10,000 experience points, which is a huge amount.

Following through with the strategy outlined here, and not being too dedicated and occasionally forgetting about my farm, I made it to level 26 in about 2 weeks with 260,000 coins to spare. By turning these 260,000 coins into experience points with the soybean strategy, I literally double the amount of experience points I have earned.

If you decide to use the soybean strategy:

Start planting peas once you are a high enough level to unlock them. Peas do not pay out quite as much experience points as berries, but they pay a lot of coins and only need to be harvested once per day (so you know, if you have to go to work, you don't have to worry about getting around your internet filter that is blocking you from Facebook).

If you decide against the soybean strategy:

Start planting blackberries as soon as you unlock them. These pay out the most coins per hour of any berry and tie strawberries and blueberries for experience points per hour (from planting and plowing). They will pay out even more experience points as you complete the crop mastery.

Conclusion

Thus concludes the powerleveling guide. As new crops (and new expansions) are released, I will update accordingly. Selengkapnya...

farm file cheat (never use fuel again)

With this program, you can draw a grid over your farm and it automatically click on each square. Line your grid up over your farm like so:

Then hit the "send clicks" button. The program will automate your clicks so that you can click on every plot of land pictured in literally 1-2 seconds.

I find that for a 20x20 farm, the 10 columns x 10 rows works best. It lets me cover the entire farm in 4 clicks. To download clickgrid, visit their website.

As a disclaimer, I should note that this could be considered a FarmVille cheat, which is potentially against their terms of service, so don't blame me if you get your account reset if you use it. I for one don't see how it's detectable though, especially if you decrease the speed of the clicks to 1/4 or 1/2 of a second. Selengkapnya...

cheat farm file trapt ur farmer

Harvesting, plowing, and planting a big farm is a lengthy process. This popular cheat increases the speed at which your farmer works by 2-3 times. What you do is trap your farmer at the center of the farm in hay bales, fences, animals, or whatever you like. When your farmer is trapped, he will automatically harvest, plant, plow, or build instantly with no travel time. The simple fact that he does not need to move to each planting square saves tons of time. Additionally, there is no slow walks when doing things on opposite sides of the farm.

Here is what it looks like:

He looks pretty content standing in those hay bales..

These bales or items should be placed in a square shape (you can use 4 points like a compass as well) around the space where your farmer starts off (direct center of your farm). You should leave a space in the square where your farmer appears as he need some space to move around. The only downside to this strategy is that you lose 1 planting space, but the speed increase is well worth it.

It could be argued that this is cheating rather than a "creative use of game mechanics", as this was never intended (could result in a ban). However, I imagine one in four farms already uses this technique since it is that valuable, and there is no way they can afford (from a financial standpoint) to ban 1/4 (or more) of their users. Additionally, I think the fact that this cheat is so popular underscores how annoying it can be to plow a big farm. Fuel honestly does not do much - the free fuel should be twice as effective, and the fuel you actually pay for should be twenty times as effective, it's just not worth spending money on at all at this point.

By trapping your farmer and using GridClicker, farming in FarmVille is a breeze.

Thanks to the various people who have mentioned this to me at this point, finally got around to making a post! Selengkapnya...
